History
The Septuagint (name meaning 70 in Greek) is one of the earliest works of the entire Old Testament to date. Estimated to have been written 100-300 b.c.e. by 70 scribes translating the entire work of their scriptures into koine Greek. This translation was done to accommodate a growing portion of the Jewish population was learned in the predominate Greek language of the day.

This version/ translation of the Septuagint is the: Septuagint in American English 2012 - The Septuagint with Apocrypha. It was translated from Greek to English by Sir Lancelot C. L. The Septuagint contains all the books of the Jewish Old Testament, and includes additional books known as the apocrypha, or historic, non-divinely inspired works.
